Introduction.
------------
KidsPaint is a childrens paint program designed to
be used by children of almost all ages. With Younger
children it would be safe to have someone older to watch over
them.
Loading.
-------
Load KidsPaint either buy double clicking on its icon
with the left mouse button.
When I last tested it KidsPaint worked fine on a 512k
Amiga.
When loading, KidsPaint will remind you that this
program is shareware. KidsPaint will then show you a title
screen, at which you can either press a key or press the left
mouse button to continue.
When is the program if you press the help key you
will get a crude help screen up.
Down the right hand side there are eight paint
tubes, by clicking on them you can change the colour with
which you draw. The colour curently selected is the tube
with the top off and the splurge of paint coming from it.
At the top of the screen there is a number of
icons. The four to the right are the drawing tools.
These include:-
1. The Paint Brush.
2. The Pattern Line.
3. The Cycle Brush.
4. The Freehand Brush.
By clicking on each one you can change between them.
At the top left of the screen there is an icon which will
clear the screen, and just to the left of it there is a
picture of three disks.
The first one with the arrow pointing away from the
disk is the Load icon. The next with the arrow pointing into
the disk is the Save icon. The last one with a cross is the
delete icon.
You will notice also on the top there are a number
of different shapes. These are for you to draw with using
the Freehand Brush. The one with the box around is the one
which is currently selected.
Pressing the Del key will undo what you have drew in
your current mode.
Clear
-----
Clicking on this will bring up a requestor asking
you if you want to clear the screen. Click on Yes if you do
and click on No if you dont.
Load, Save and Delete
---------------------
After you click on one of these icons you will get
full instuctions on the screen. The pictures are saved in
IFF format so you can load them into most Art Packages if
you want to print them or alter them.
The Paint Brush
---------------
As soon as you click on this a box will apear
around it showing you that you are in Paint mode. You can
fill enclosed areas of the screen with this in the colour
that is curently selected.
The Pattern Line
----------------
When you click on this, a box will apear around it.
What ever you draw on the screen will get repeated 7 Times
making a symetrical pattern.
The Cycle Brush
---------------
A box will again apear around this when its
selected. When you draw on the screen the colours rotate and
you get very pretty results.
The Freehand Brush
------------------
You can select this either by clicking on its icon
or by clicking on one of the brushes just to the right of the
delete icon. You can change the brush you are drawing with
by simply clicking on another one. You draw in the colour
which is curently selected.
The PullDown Menu
-----------------
By holding down the right mouse button and moving
to the top left of the screen you can activate the pull down
menu. Keep the right mouse button held down until you are
over the selection which you want then let go.
Save a screen
-------------
This is for use if you want too save the whole
screen including the icons onto the disk. You shouldn't
really nead to use this.
Sound (Voice/Beeps/off)
--------------
With this you can switch between what type of sounds
you want.
Voice : The Default
Beeps : Crude beeps
Off : This will speed KidsPaint up Alot.
Delete a file
-------------
This does exactly the same as the delete icon.
About
-----
This tells you a bit about the program and me.
Quit
----
This will quit you from KidsPaint. You can also
quit by holding down <ctrl> and <c>.
--------------------------
KidsPaint is shareware. If you like it or use it alot
